International Rescue Committee 2025: Supporting Refugees as They Rebuild Their Lives

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is dedicated to helping people affected by humanitarian crises survive, recover, and rebuild their lives. Through resettlement services and ongoing support, they provide a critical foundation for refugees as they begin again in a new country.

What They Do

The IRC is a global nonprofit organization that responds to some of the world’s worst humanitarian crises. Their work includes refugee resettlement, access to healthcare and education, employment support, and long-term integration services to help individuals and families achieve stability and independence.

Where They Serve

The IRC operates worldwide, including within local communities across the United States, where they assist refugees as they transition into new homes and new opportunities.

How Our Support Helped

In 2025, Benefits² Administrators proudly supported the IRC’s local resettlement efforts, contributing to meaningful outcomes for individuals and families:

  • 99 refugees resettled, helping families begin their new lives in a safe environment

  • 346 hours of interpretation services provided between May and June, ensuring access to critical services like healthcare, education, and employment

  • 40 households (185+ individuals) placed into safe and stable housing

  • 185 job placements secured, empowering individuals to achieve financial independence and contribute to their communities

Why It Matters

Starting over in a new country comes with immense challenges, including   language barriers, housing needs, employment, and access to essential services. The IRC provides the support system needed to navigate these challenges, helping refugees move from crisis to stability and self-sufficiency.

Living Our Mission

This partnership reflects our commitment to:

  • EMPOWER – by supporting access to employment and essential services
