WHOlives 2025: Bringing Clean Water and Economic Opportunity to Communities in Africa

WHOlives is transforming lives by addressing two of the most fundamental needs in developing communities: access to clean water and sustainable economic opportunity. Through practical, community-driven solutions, their work creates lasting change for families and future generations.

What They Do

WHOlives is a nonprofit organization focused on improving quality of life through clean water initiatives and economic development programs. Their approach combines infrastructure with education, ensuring communities not only receive support, but also the tools to sustain it long-term.

Where They Serve

Their efforts are focused in Uganda and Kenya, where access to clean water and economic resources can be limited, particularly in rural areas.

How Our Support Helped

In 2025, with continued support from Benefits² Administrators, WHOlives achieved meaningful impact in two key areas:

  • Clean Water Access (Uganda):
Seven new water wells were constructed, providing clean, safe water for up to 7,000 people. These wells eliminate the need for long, daily journeys to collect water from unsafe sources such as ponds, rivers, and streams.

  • Small Business Development (Kenya):
WHOlives helped launch five new businesses through their business training and mentoring program. This initiative provides:

    • Education and hands-on business training

    • One year of mentorship

    • Start-up capital through low-interest loans

These resources empower local entrepreneurs to build sustainable livelihoods and strengthen their communities.

Why It Matters

Access to clean water dramatically improves health, safety, and daily life—especially for women and children who are often responsible for water collection. At the same time, economic opportunity creates independence, stability, and long-term growth.

By addressing both needs, WHOlives is helping communities break cycles of poverty and build stronger, more self-sufficient futures.

Living Our Mission

This partnership reflects our commitment to:

  • EMPOWER – through education, training, and mentorship

  • ELEVATE – by creating opportunities for families and communities to thrive

  • ENHANCE – by improving daily life through access to clean water and sustainable income
